Laser skin resurfacing is nearly bloodless, and is performed as an outpatient procedure, without the costs and risks of hospitalization or anesthesia and as the laser is gentle, comfort both during and after the procedure is improved, and helps with a more rapid return to your normal routine.

Patients can experience a slight stinging sensation during treatment, like a snap of a rubber band on the skin, followed by a sensation of sunburn. Many treatments do not require anaesthetics. However, some patients feel more comfortable with a local numbing agent like ice or anaesthetic cream. For others, a local anaesthetic injection can be beneficial.
